Last summer, we had the opportunity to go to Germany for the first conference for Converge global missionaries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We were there to capture the event and get to know the many amazing people we will be working with. This conference was an opportunity for the missionaries to refocus on Converge’s vision, to brush up on some useful leadership and ministry skills, to worship God together, and to simply rest.
During a time of corporate worship, we sang a popular worship song that goes,
And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord
Those lines carried even more weight when we were singing them in a room full of people who have sacrificed so much to share the love of God with the least-reached peoples. Moments like that stir in us a desire to go and take part in those ministries. We pray that more people will cry out with those missionaries for those unreached groups to shout His praise.
While we were there, we were blessed to be able to hear stories of the ways God is using these missionaries to touch lives from Senegal to Estonia, and from the Middle East to Sweden. Read one of their stories here.
Prayer Requests
For connecting with the right people and churches who will encourage us and support us as we push forward in this season of preparing for the mission field and life in Poland.
For people throughout Europe and the Middle East to look around and be utterly discontent with life the way it is. That this leads them to begin to seek and hope for something more.
From Romans 15, May the God of endurance and encouragement grant us to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together we may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
From Ephesians 6, that words may be given to us in opening our mouths boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which we are ambassadors.
