Many of us now are beginning to feel antsy, ready to get back out into the world, see our friends and family, and start up life again. The truth is, for the two of us, we have been feeling this way for a year now. We have been waiting to be released onto the mission field to begin our ministry to the global workers in Europe and the Mediterranean region. Though we are so grateful to be part of our community here in the States, we know that our “real life” is out there.
We are trusting that God is preparing the way and the time for us to enter the field. We have been informed that our training and our ability to travel to Poland will not be greatly affected by this pandemic. We ask that you pray with us that we are able to join our missionaries in the field as soon as possible. We have remained dedicated to training and raising support during this pandemic because we long to visit with our workers, hear their stories, celebrate their ministries with them, and share with you the ways in which God is moving in the region.
Here is a story about Nita, one of the Converge missionaries continuing ministry during lockdown. We are so grateful for people like Nita, who are committed to serving, ministering to, and caring for the people in their sphere even while they cannot visit and see them face to face. We have seen this abroad and locally, and we’re excited to hear more stories. If you have a story of a way God has enabled you to reach out to someone in your sphere during this pandemic, we’d love to hear it and celebrate with you!
Prayer Request
For our continued work on our the video project – that God will direct us as we fine tune and finish this piece, and that it will be used to challenge more people to engage in missions to the least reached people groups in our region.
For God to place more people in our (virtual) path to partner with us in our ministry; for us to continue to make progress toward the field, trusting that God is making the way.
We pray this verse over our missionaries. We ask that you are praying for us in this way as well. From 1 Corinthians 15:58: Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
For the moms in Albania, and all around the world, who are isolated not only from their friends, but from their source of community, care, and encouragement. May God continue to reach these women in their homes.
