We can hardly believe it’s already October! We had originally hoped to be launching this month, but of course all of us are experiencing a different autumn than we expected. Instead, we get to experience another wonderful color-changing season in the midwest and some big steps in our progress toward the field!
Praise God, we have completed our personal ministry video! It has been a challenge working on a video of ourselves, but we love to share our story and highlight some of the people and organizations that have poured into our lives and that God has used to lead us to media missions. Shoutout to Stetson Butler, Ryan Vander Ploegg, Dennis McMains, Bruce McEvoy, and Josh Nicholson for helping to make this happen!

In this past month, we’ve been able to spend some extra time with friends and family. We’ve moved in with Lorrie (Peter’s mom), so we’ve been able to sell, donate, or store most of our belongings now.
We have officially signed up for the cross-cultural training in January! We’re excited to prepare for this big step in our training and preparation for the field.
We’ve been reaching out to and visiting other churches in our area. It has been a blessing to be welcomed in and prayed for by the people in these churches. It’s been a wonderful reflection on how this mission work doesn’t belong to just us or our team or organization. As the Church, we can all participate in and praise God for the lives touched around the world when we’re supporting and praying for missionaries and people who have yet to hear the Gospel.

For our team members overseas (Steve and Jenny, Zach and Miša) who are adapting to new ministry methods and relearning cultural norms that have shifted over the past year.
For our team members in the States (Bob and Carol, Andrew and Miranda, Lemuel and Brittany) who are also raising support and in a period of anticipation, holding in balance the joy of family and friends and the longing for the field.
From Hebrews 12:1-2, Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
